Our Purification Process
Aquakelvin process aims to uphold highest degree in maintaining quality standards. Water purification plays a key role in ensuring access to safe drinking water. Safe drinking water positively impacts the health of the entire community. Systems are in place to ensure on going water quality, including water quality testing. The testing helps ensure the water treatment process results in a product that meets water quality guidelines standards. Water analysis involves looking for several kinds of contaminants, including unsafe levels of organic, inorganic, microbial and/or radioactive contaminants.
Filtration is done through two different filters
Sand filters and Carbon filters
a) Sand Filter has sand of different grades, which when water passed through them removes heavy suspended particles of size up to 30 microns which are suspended in water.
b) Carbon Filter, filters/ removes pesticides, chlorine, iodine…etc, in this process the colour and odour In the water is also removed, then main cause if micro-organisms/ bacteria are present in the water.
Water when passed through semi – permeable films/membranes under high pressure, Removes salts and minerals which are in excess quantity and make the water portable and soft.
The process is called Reverse Osmosis.
Under this process we make sure very small particles such as metal particles, micro-organisms which may have escaped earlier are removed with the micron filters used here which are of size 1 micron and 0.5 microns.
Ozonisation is a process of passing ozone gas into water. Ozone gas is a
colourless gas, which has greater disinfection effectiveness against
bacteria and viruses. Naturally ozone in
the atmosphere from sun’s ultraviolet rays which is capable of destroying
bacteria ,viruses , cysts from water when it comes. In contact with water, Ozone
maintain the sterility of the water through the life of the water till it is
consumed ( called as shelf life )
